Karl Reitz

Karl Reitz (born January 24, 1887 in Dodenau ; † October 25, 1980 ) was a Hessian politician ( CDU ) and a former member of the Hessian state parliament .

Karl Reitz attended elementary school, advanced training school and the higher building trade school and passed the master craftsman examination in 1913. From 1919 he was co-owner and manager of a steam brick and a steam sawmill. From 1908 to 1909 he did military service and was a war participant from 1914 to 1918 and 1939 to 1944, most recently as a liaison officer.

Both during the Weimar Republic and after 1946 he was a member of community council and district council. From July 15, 1946 to November 30, 1946 he was a member of the state assembly of Greater Hesse, which advised the constitution, and from December 1, 1946 to October 22, 1947 of the Hessian state parliament.
