Karl Schopp

Karl Schopp (born January 24, 1903 in Dortmund ; † July 5, 1970 in Bigge ) was a German local politician and honorary district administrator ( center and CDU ).

Life and work

After attending school, Schopp completed a teacher training course . Until 1964 he worked as a teacher, principal teacher, rector and school councilor in the school service. Schopp was married and had three children.

Member of the county council of the former county Lippstadt he was from 1948 from 29 November 1952 to 11 December 1954 he was until 1955. District Administrator of the district. Schopp, he was active in various committees of the district council of North Rhine-Westphalia , in particular in the culture and school committee.

From 1954 to 1956 Schopp was chairman of the Lippstadt District Rifle Association . From 1963 until his sudden death he was director of the youth hostel in Westphalia-Lippe.
