Karl Speechler
Karl Speigler or Karl Speigler ( November 1, 1838 in Konstanz - October 17, 1889 in Karlsruhe ) was a German opera singer ( bass ).
Life
Speechler began his career in 1854 at the Karlsruhe court theater as a choir singer. Later, from 1864 until his death, he worked again in Karlsruhe. In between he sang in the USA from 1872 to 1873.
"Sarastro", "Leporello", "Marcell", "Osmin", "van Bett", "Mephisto" and "Falstaff" were some of his outstanding achievements. He was the discoverer of the voice of the opera singer Hans Wuzél (1865–1940).
