Karl Zapp

Karl Zapp (born January 2, 1893 in Düsseldorf , † April 3, 1955 in Lahr / Black Forest ) was a German politician ( SPD ).

Life

Zapp completed an apprenticeship as a turner from 1907 to 1910 and then worked in various companies in the Ruhr area . From 1914 to 1918 he took part in the First World War as a soldier . From 1919 to 1933 he worked as managing director for the free trade unions in Herne . He then worked as an independent businessman and settled as such in Lahr in 1942. From August 1944 he was interned in the Dachau concentration camp .

After the end of the Second World War , Zapp became director and head of the employment office in Lahr in 1945. From 1946 to 1947 he was a member of the Advisory State Assembly of the State of Baden for the SPD .
