Karl von Bernuth

Karl von Bernuth (born December 11, 1774 in Hamm , † June 10, 1843 in Münster ) was a German lawyer .

Life

Born as the son of the War and Tax Council Jakob von Bernuth , Karl attended high school in Hammonense , which he left with the Abitur in 1792. In 1793 he began studying law at the University of Erlangen , which he continued in Marburg in 1795 . In Erlangen he became a member of the Erlangen Westphalia in 1794. After completing his studies, he entered the civil service. In 1804 he was a secret councilor in Münster and in 1809 president of the tribunal in Dillenburg . In 1815 he returned to Münster, where he became Vice President of the Münster Higher Regional Court . In 1824 he was appointed President of the Münster Higher Regional Court. He held the presidium until 1839.

family

Bernuth had married Luise Freiin von der Recke (1787–1862) from the house of Uentrop on October 8, 1805 in Münster . The following children were born from the marriage:
