Karl von Oven (District Administrator)

Karl von Oven (born July 12, 1824 in Wetter , † May 24, 1907 in Wernigerode ) was a German government councilor and district administrator .

Life

His parents were Engelbert von Oven (October 25, 1795 - January 8, 1846) and his wife Charlotte Sophie Brügelmann (May 17, 1805 - December 12, 1875). His brother was Julius von Oven .

Oven took up his post as district administrator in the Schlochau district in 1865 , which he held until 1875. After retiring to his estate for ten years, he finally became district administrator again in the Duderstadt district in 1885 . He held this office until 1900, before he resigned.

In 1844 he became a member of the Berliner Wingolf student union , in 1845 the Germania Bonn (until 1844 and from 1855 Bonner Wingolf) and in 1891 the Göttingen Wingolf .

Oven was married to Emma Karoline Adolfine Countess von Westarp. With this he had a son Karl Adolf and the daughter Godela. Karl von Oven is in direct line with Generals Karl von Oven , Burghard von Oven and Georg von Oven .
