Karl von Winckler

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Karl von Winckler , also often written as Karl von Winkler (born December 8, 1912 in Stainach , Austria-Hungary , † February 11, 1988 in Ottobrunn ) was an Austro-German entrepreneur and businessman. His surname was 'von Winckler' in Austria too, as it was argued that it was a matter of a German nobility and that 'von' should therefore be regarded as part of the name. (His descendants were therefore able to legitimately use the 'from' until 2014, since this legal conception was only changed then).
