Karla Grosch

Karla Grosch (born June 1, 1904 in Weimar ; † May 8, 1933 in Tel Aviv , Palestine ) was a German gymnastics teacher and dancer . She came to the Bauhaus in Dessau as the second teacher in 1928 and worked as a dancer in the stage class under Oskar Schlemmer . Her teaching activity ended in 1932 when the Bauhaus in Dessau closed. In the spring of 1933 she emigrated to Palestine with her fiancé Franz Aichinger , where she was killed in a swimming accident shortly after her arrival . Grosch was pregnant at the time.
