Karlheinz Lüdeking

Karlheinz Lüdeking (* 1950 ) is a German art historian and theorist. He is the former dean of the fine arts faculty and professor of art history and art history at the Berlin University of the Arts .

Life

Lüdeking studied fine arts at the Berlin University of the Arts . As a teacher , he taught from 1976 to 1978 at a Berlin school . Another study of philosophy , art history and German studies followed. In 1985 he was in philosophy at Ernst Tugendhat doctorate . In 1993 he completed his habilitation in art history . Lüdeking took on teaching positions as substitute and visiting professors at numerous art academies and was a co-founder of the German Society for Aesthetics .

In 1997 Lüdeking became professor for art history at the Academy of Fine Arts in Nuremberg . From 1998 to 2001 he held the office of president there. In 2004 he was appointed professor for art history and art history at the University of the Arts in Berlin.

Lüdeking was a visiting member of the Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton from January 2001 to June 2002 .
