Karol Loeckell (born March 27, 1810 in Belgard an der Persante , † around March 2, 1876 in Berlin ) was the founder of the Polish Society in Berlin.

Loeckel founded the Polish Society in Berlin in 1865, which was renamed the Polish Catholic Society in 1870 under the patronage of the Mother of God of Czestochowa and the protector of Poland, St. Stanislaus . He is one of the founders of the Polish Catholic Society in Berlin.

Karol Loeckell is buried in the churchyard of the St. Michael community on Hermannstrasse in Berlin-Neukölln . His tomb was repeatedly exposed to desecration, the inscription in Polish was smeared and partially removed with a chisel. On November 11, 2010, a new grave slab made of pink granite was placed on Karl Loeckell's symbolic grave . Donated by the Berlin Poland organizations and the Polish embassy , with the inscription:

"To the founder of the first Polish society in Berlin
and tireless activists of the Polish-Catholic Society.
Grateful Poles ask passers-by
for a pious prayer"
