Karolina Klaudia Cicha (born April 20, 1979 in Białystok ) is a Polish singer , actress and composer .

Karolina Cicha first studied literature at the Faculty of Philology at the University of Białystok and received her doctorate in 2010 with the thesis "Wzniostość w ponowosalowej poezji Adama Zagajewskiego " . In addition, from 2005 to 2009 she took part as an actress in various Polish theater productions.

Musical career

With her band, founded in 2009, Cicha set poems by the Polish poet Tadeusz Gajcy to music for their first album Gajcy (2009) . Her second album Do ludożerców (2010) is also based on poetry , namely the work of Tadeusz Różewicz . On her album www.wawa2010.pl , also made in 2010, Cicha interprets various songs about Warsaw in duets with artists from Poland's alternative scene . The following album, Miękkie maszyny (2012), contains pieces composed for the first time by Karolina Cicha as a singer-songwriter .
