Karsten Jasper
Karsten Jasper (born April 13, 1952 in Tellingstedt ) is a German politician ( CDU ).
Life and work
After completing secondary school in 1968 at the rural secondary school in Tellingstedt, Jasper completed an apprenticeship as a retail salesman at Otto Behrendt KG in Eckernförde by 1971 . He then completed a training course in business administration in German textile retail at the training institute for German textile retail in Nagold until 1973 . Then Jasper did his military service and was then from 1974 initially an employee and from 1980 to 2000 co-owner of the textile company Wilhelm Jasper in Tellingstedt. After working in marketing and sales at Norddirekt, Jasper became the full-time managing director of the municipal regional development agency Eider-Treene-Sorge GmbH in January 2003.
Karsten Jasper is married and has two children.
Political party
Jasper joined the CDU in 1975. From 1986 to 1990 he was the community representative of the community of Tellingstedt, where he was mayor until 2008.
MP
Since 2005 , the 16th electoral term, Jasper was a member of the state parliament of Schleswig-Holstein . Karsten Jasper has entered the state parliament as a directly elected member of the Dithmarschen-Nord constituency . In the state elections in 2005 he received 53.0% of the first votes , in 2009 it was 41.9%, in 2012 44.6%. From 2005 to 2012 he was a member of the Economic Committee. He is now an alternate member of this committee. Since June 2012 he was health policy spokesman for the CDU parliamentary group.
Since 2012 he has been a member of the Social Committee. He was health, consumer protection and drug policy spokesman for the CDU parliamentary group.
In 2017 he left the state parliament.
Public offices
Jasper was from 1996 to 2003 mayor of the former office of the parish of Tellingstedt . From 2005 to 2014 he was a member of the University Council of the West Coast Heide University of Applied Sciences.
Others
Karsten Jasper is a member of the Advisory Board of the Schleswig-Holstein Consumer Association. From 1996 to 2003 he was a member of the board of directors of Sparkasse Hennstedt-Wesselburen.
