Kashif Shuja (born July 20, 1979 in Abbottabad ) is a former New Zealand - Pakistani squash player .

Career

Kashif Shuja started his career in 2005, but joined the PSA in 1995 . He won eleven titles on the PSA World Tour . He achieved his best placement in the world rankings with rank 36 in April 2009. For his home country Pakistan he played on the tour until 2001, including at the Commonwealth Games in 1998 , before he started for New Zealand. Kashif Shuja was New Zealand national champion five times between 2004 and 2009 . With the New Zealand national team he took part in world championships in 2005 , 2007 and 2009 .

Before moving to New Zealand, he completed a degree in information technology in Singapore. From 2001 to 2004 he worked at the University of Auckland before starting his professional career in 2005. In 2015 he became the national coach for New Zealand.
