Kaspar von Carnap (born May 17, 1755 in Elberfeld (today a district of Wuppertal ); † November 23, 1823 there ) was Mayor of Elberfeld.

Carnap was born the son of the Elberfeld merchant Peter von Carnap (1716–1758) and his wife Johanna Maria Meyer (1724–1788). His brother was the two-time mayor Peter Wilhelm von Carnap . He himself also initially became a businessman. Carnap was in common in the years 1785, 1790 and 1792. In 1788 and 1793 he was a councilor. He was proposed as mayor in 1789 and 1792. In the 1794 election he was finally elected mayor of Elberfeld. The following year he became a city judge for a year. From 1796 to 1800 and again in 1802 he was again a member of the council.

Carnap married Katharina Elisabeth von Carnap (1764-1831) in 1784, with whom he had six children.
