Kasper Hvidt (born February 6, 1976 in Frederiksberg , Denmark ) is a former Danish handball goalkeeper . He is 1.92 m tall and weighs 97 kg.
Kasper Hvidt started playing handball at Ajax København . In 1997 he was hired abroad at Frigorificos del Morrazo Cangas in the Spanish ASOBAL league , but after a year he moved on to TBV Lemgo in the German handball league . Here he won the DHB Supercup , but returned to Ademar León in Spain after a year and a half in January 2000 . There he won the Spanish championship and the Copa del Rey de Balonmano in 2001 . In 2004 he moved on to Portland San Antonio , where he again won the Spanish championship and the Spanish Supercup in 2005 and was in the final of the EHF Champions League in 2006 . In 2007 he moved to FC Barcelona . After two seasons in Barcelona, he moved to FCK Håndbold. He won the Danish Cup with FCK in 2010. A year later he joined the AG København . With AG København he won the championship in 2011 and 2012. After AGK went bankrupt in July 2012, Hvidt was without a contract. Hvidt then joined KIF Kolding , with whom he won the championship in 2014 and 2015. He ended his career after the 2016/17 season.
Kasper Hvidt made 219 international appearances for the Danish national team. At the European handball championship in Norway in 2008 , he was elected European champion and the best goalkeeper of the tournament. He won bronze at the European Championships in 2002, 2004 and 2006 , as well as at the 2007 World Cup.
