Kathryn Williamson (born August 1, 1989 in McKinney , Texas ) is a former American soccer player who was last under contract with Portland Thorns FC in the National Women's Soccer League in the 2016 season.
Career
In the 2012 season, Williamson played for the Canadian W-League participant Ottawa Fury Women , played there in twelve league games and won the championship with her team at the end of the season. She was committed to the newly formed NWSL in eighth position by Portland Thorns FC in early 2013 in the college draft . Williamson made her league debut on April 13, 2013 against FC Kansas City . In April 2014, shortly before the start of the season, she and her teammate Courtney Wetzel moved to league rivals and runner-up Western New York Flash , which she left for Portland after only one season. Williamson scored her only goal in the NWSL on July 9, 2016 in a 2-1 loss to FC Kansas City. After the 2016 season, she ended her career.
