Kate Linder
Kate Linder (born November 2, 1947 in Pasadena , California ) is an American actress .
life and career
The actress was born Catherine Helene Wolveck on November 2, 1947 . Even in high school , she became interested in acting. She graduated from San Francisco State University with a BA in Theater Arts . During her studies she started working as a flight attendant for Transamerica and at the same time played theater.
She became known as a longtime performer in the soap opera Shadow of Passion , in which she has played the role of Esther Valentine , Katherine Chancellor's housekeeper , played by Jeanne Cooper , since April 1982 . For her life's work, Linder received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on April 10, 2008 .
Even after starting her acting career, Linder continued to work as a flight attendant at United Airlines . She has been married to Ronald Linder since 1976 and they both live in Los Angeles .
