Kate Richardson-Walsh , OBE (* 9. May 1980 in Withington , Manchester as Kate Walsh ) is a British field hockey player .

Life

Richardson-Walsh plays field hockey on the British women's national team. She is a participant in the 2012 Summer Olympics and the 2016 Summer Olympics . At the 2012 Summer Olympics, she and her team won the bronze medal. At the 2016 Summer Olympics, she and her team won the gold medal. At the FIH Champions Trophy 2010 she achieved the bronze medal with her team, and in 2012 she managed to win the silver medal with the team. At the Commonwealth Games , she won the silver medal with her team in 2002 and 2014 and the bronze medal in 2006 and 2010. At the European Hockey Championships she and her team won the gold medal in 2015, the silver medal in 2013 and the bronze medal in 1999, 2005, 2007, 2009 and 2011. She has been married to her teammate Helen Richardson-Walsh since 2013 .
