Helen Richardson-Walsh

Helen Richardson-Walsh , MBE (born September 23, 1981 in West Bridgford , Nottingham ) is a British field hockey player .

Life

Richardson-Walsh plays field hockey on the British women's national team. She participated in the 2012 Summer Olympics and the 2016 Summer Olympics. In 2012 she and the team won the bronze medal, followed by the gold medal in 2016. In 2012 she won silver at the FIH Champions Trophy . At the Commonwealth Games , she and her team won the silver medal in 2014 and the bronze medal in 2006 and 2010. She was also very successful at European championships : she and her team took first place in 2015, second in 2013 and third in 1999, 2005, 2007, 2009 and 2011. She has been married to teammate Kate Richardson-Walsh since 2013 .
