Kate Russell (born May 22, 1968 in London Colney ) is a British journalist and television presenter . Her areas of expertise are technology, computers and the Internet.

Life

Her father worked in the field of structural engineering , which meant she was traveling all over the world as a child. She lived temporarily in Kenya and Central America . After graduating from school, she worked as a manager at a CD-ROM manufacturer from 1991 to 1995.

She began moderating three episodes of Fish & Chips on Nickelodeon , a program about computer games. Games have also featured frequently in computer magazines such as Computer Life , PC Review, and Computer . In November 1996, she joined The Computer Channel as a producer and writer , later renamed .tv . She hosted the program Chips with Everything there from 1997 until the end of 2001.

Russell is a passionate scuba diver and has written for Scuba World magazine . For Channel 4 and Sky Sports they reported snowboard and bike competitions, and was a reporter for the series Sporting Scandals station's London Weekend Television . She is currently moderating the BBC Click Webscape segment . She took over the Webscape moderation in 2002 from Sevan Bastajian .
