Katharina Bintz

Katharina Bintz (born September 11, 1992 in Luxembourg ) is a Luxembourgish actress and filmmaker .

Life

Katharina Bintz grew up multilingual in Luxembourg, where she attended the Conservatoire de Luxembourg. During her acting studies in Hamburg, she was a guest actress at the Deutsches Schauspielhaus. From 2013 to 2016 she starred in the world premiere Everything else you know from the cinema by Martin Crimp in a production by Katie Mitchell . In 2014 the theater play was named “Foreign Play of the Year” by Theater heute . In 2016 she played in the play “Another example of the permeability of certain borders” by Henri Hüster on Kampnagel . The piece was invited to the Körber Studio Junge Regie in the Thalia Theater (Hamburg) .

In 2015 she founded the performance festival Friday Island together with the choreographer Gianfranco Celestino.

Katharina Bintz lives in Hamburg and Luxembourg .
