Katharina Friedl

Katharina (Caddy) Friedl (* 1978 in Schopfheim , Baden-Württemberg) is a German actress and speaker.

Life

Katharina Friedl was born in Schopfheim and grew up in Istanbul . After graduating from the German School in Istanbul , she first completed a foreign language training before she was trained as an actress. She completed her acting training in 2008 at the TheaterRaum Munich .

Career

During her apprenticeship, she played in various pieces at the theater ... and so on in Munich and was awarded the Lore Bronner Prize in 2007, the award for young talent from the Upper Bavaria district. In 2008 and 2010 she played “Ada” in Spieltrieb at the Teamtheater Tankstelle in Munich, a bestseller by Juli Zeh , with which she made a guest appearance at DNT Weimar in 2008/09. At the Weilheim Festival in 2008 she embodied “Gretchen” in Urfaust and in 2008/09 appeared on stage as “Shirley Valentine” in the monologue of the same name, among others at the theater… and so on in Munich. Various engagements and leading roles followed at the petrol station team theater (as “Eurydike”), at the Carl Orff Festival in Andechs (including as “Hermia” in “A Midsummer Night's Dream” and with the Munich Radio Orchestra as Bernauerin), as “Stella” at the Berganger stage and at the Wasserburger Theatertage. In 2012 she starred in "The Last of the Fiery Lovers" ( Neil Simon ), where she took on all three female roles. In 2014 she embodied the main role in "Fast Perfect" at the Torturmtheater Sommerhausen near Würzburg and the role of "Alice" at the Toppler Theater in Rothenburg od T. in "The Truth", where she was seen again in the summer of 2015 in the role of "Hannah" "We love and know nothing" in by Moritz Rinke .

Since 2012 she has also been in front of the camera for TV and cinema productions. She played in Bully Herbig's film BUDDY , in “Unter Verdacht” alongside Senta Berger and in various early evening series on ARD such as Munich 7 and Hubert and Staller .

In August 2015 she also took on a role at the side of Oliver Wnuk in the SWR radio play "Bierleichen" based on the detective novel of the same name by Roland Weis.

Katharina Friedl lives in Berlin and Munich.
