Viehstall is part of the Paulushofen district , a district of the town of Beilngries in the Upper Bavarian district of Eichstätt . It is not a separate district of Beilngries.

location

The wasteland is located southeast of Paulushofen on the plateau of the southern Franconian Jura in the Altmühltal Nature Park and can be reached via a junction of the federal road 299, which passes to the north .

history

Viehstall is located on the former salt road that led from the Danube to Neumarkt in the Upper Palatinate and beyond. In 1579 it is known as the “Füllstall”.

In the course of secularization , the lower bishopric, to whose caste office Beilngries the village Paulushofen with the wasteland cattle shed belonged, came to Grand Duke Archduke Ferdinand III. from Tuscany and 1806 to Bavaria . In 1808 Paulushofen was merged with the cattle shed and the town of Neuzell to form the Paulushofen tax district of the Kipfenberg district court and rent office in the Altmühlkreis . In 1810 this municipality was part of the Upper Danube District with the capital Eichstätt and from 1817 to the Regenkreis and the capital Regensburg. From 1838 the district of Beilngries and with it the community Paulushofen / Viehstall / Neuzell was part of the district of Middle Franconia with the capital Ansbach .

With the Bavarian regional reform , the community Paulushofen was incorporated into the town of Beilngries on January 1, 1972, together with the cattle shed.

Ecclesiastically, Viehstall belongs to the Catholic parish Paulushofen.
