Katharina Klöcker

Katharina Klöcker (* 1972 in Freiburg im Breisgau ) is a German Roman Catholic theologian and journalist .

Life

Katharina Klöcker studied Roman Catholic theology at the Eberhard Karls University in Tübingen , at the Institut Catholique de Paris and at the University of Münster , where she obtained a diploma in Catholic theology in 2000 . From 2000 to 2002 she was a volunteer at the Catholic News Agency (KNA) in Bonn and Brussels. At the same time, she received her journalistic training at the Institute for the Promotion of Young Journalists .

After two years as an editor at KNA, Klöcker returned to the university in 2004 and worked until 2013 as a research assistant at the seminar for moral theology with Antonio Autiero at the Catholic-Theological Faculty of the Westphalian Wilhelms University in Münster. In 2009 she was awarded a work on the morality of fighting terrorism. Doctorate in a theological-ethical criticism . In 2010 the work was awarded the university's dissertation prize.

In 2012, Klöcker founded the network office Theologie & Beruf at the Catholic Theological Faculty in Münster, which she established and managed until 2015. Since September 2015 she has been a junior professor for theological ethics at the Ruhr University Bochum .

About their teaching and research activities also Klöcker participates since 2012 at irregular intervals in the morning prayers of the WDR and in the mission on Sunday morning of the Germany radio .
