Katharina Lehmayer

Katharina Lehmayer (* 1963 in Linz ) is an Austrian judge . Since December 1, 2016 she has been President of the Linz Higher Regional Court (OLG Linz).

Career

Lehmayer graduated at Bundesrealgymnasium Fadingerstraße in Linz and studied from 1981 to 1986 Jus at the University of Vienna , during this time was also involved her as a research assistant at the Institute of Public Law. From 1990 to 1999 she was a judge at the Döbling District Court , after which she moved to the Linz Regional Court (LG Linz), where she focused on family matters.

From 2006 to 2008 she was a judge at the OLG Linz, but then moved back to the LG Linz, where she was Vice President from 2008 to 2010 and then President until November 2016. Lehmayer has been President of the Linz Higher Regional Court since December 1, 2016, making it the first ever female President of a higher regional court in Austria. Before that she was the first president of a court in the district of the OLG Linz.

Since March 1, 2013 she has been a member of the University Council of the Johannes Kepler University in Linz.

Private

Lehmayer is married and has two daughters. She is the younger sister of the former President of the Chamber of Commerce, Christoph Leitl .
