Katharina Agnes Ulrike Schwabedissen (born December 8, 1972 in Bielefeld ) is a German politician . From 2008 to 2012 she was the state spokeswoman for Die Linke Nordrhein-Westfalen .

Life

Katharina Schwabedissen comes from a pastor's family in Gladbeck , is a trained nurse , has an MA in philosophy and history , is the mother of three sons and lives in Witten . Before founding the party Die Linke in 2007, she was a board member in the regional association of the WASG party , which she joined in 2005.

At the state party conference in 2008 she was elected state spokeswoman for the Left North Rhine-Westphalia . In 2010 she was re-elected and formed the head of the regional association together with Hubertus Zdebel until mid-2012 . For the state elections in North Rhine-Westphalia in 2012 , she ran as the top candidate on the state list of the left, but failed to make it into the state parliament with her party and no longer ran for the election of the state spokesman.

According to a report by taz from May 2018, she is no longer a party member.
