Kathrin Eipert (* in the 20th century in Brehna ) is a German saxophonist .

Life

Eipert was born as the daughter of Inge (music teacher) and Martin Eipert (architect) in today's Sandersdorf-Brehna, Carlsfeld district. At the age of 7 she learned recorder and accordion at the music school, later piano and saxophone. This was followed by the professional certificate as a saxophonist and music teacher at the Conservatory in Halle .

Eipert works as a freelance professional musician. She is a soloist for saxophone and created her own saxophone show "Sax & more", where she sings, plays the saxophone, choreographs and moderates. The show is unique worldwide thanks to its live performance with saxophone in a 2 meter giant balloon.

Eipert's repertoire includes classical as well as pop, rock and funk as well as cover versions of well-known world hits and pieces composed especially for them. Together with the pianist and baritone Gunter Ecke, Eipert gives concerts from rock to classical. She also works as a studio musician.

She appeared as a saxophonist in television programs such as “Music for you”, “Christmas with us with Inka Bause”, “Outsider front runner”, “Out and about in Saxony-Anhalt”, “Super Illu-TV” and “Alles Gute”. She played the German national anthem at the European Championship boxing match for Timo Hoffmann , for Nena the musical laudation for receiving the Bronze Bear in the Komische Oper in Berlin and for Harry Belafonte at the Hope Gala.

In 1998 Kathrin Eipert founded the private music and entertainment school Amadeus with her partner Peter Kolb.

In her hometown of Brehna, she is involved with charity concerts for the Brehna town and monastery church. She was made an honorary member of the friends' association for her commitment. Eipert is active on a voluntary basis as the artistic director of the children and youth saxophone orchestra "Sax & Fun" eV, which she founded in 1999. Kathrin Eipert also supports the animal sanctuary in Emmrich.
