Kathrin Kaltenhauser (born June 1, 1983 in Schwaz ) is an Austrian politician ( ÖVP ) and farmer. From 2013 to 2019 she was a member of the Tyrolean state parliament .

biography

Kaltenhauser attended elementary school in Strass im Zillertal between 1989 and 1993 and then attended secondary school in Jenbach from 1993 to 1997 . She then moved to the HBLA for Agriculture and Food Management in Kematen in Tyrol in 1997 , where she graduated in 2002. From 2003 to 2007 she worked as an employee at Maschinenring and between 2007 and 2009 was a consultant in the Tyrolean Chamber of Agriculture. She has been working as a farmer since 2009. After a private stroke of fate in her family, she and her mother run the farm in Strass im Zillertal on a full-time basis.

Kaltenhauser joined the Tyrolean young farmers / rural youth at the age of 15 and was secretary of the young farmers / rural youth in Strass in the Zillertal from 2002 to 2005. She headed the young farmers / rural youth in Strass im Zillertal between 2005 and 2008 as local manager and took over the regional management of the Tyrolean young farmers / rural youth in 2008, where she was re-elected in 2011. Kaltenhauser is also the deputy chairman of the Austrian Young Farmers' Union. In February 2012, Kaltenhauser was presented as a candidate of the ÖVP for the 2013 state elections and subsequently ranked second on the ÖVP state list.

At the beginning of September 2019 her withdrawal from politics became known, her mandate was taken over by Martin Wex .
