Kathrin Marchand
Kathrin Marchand (born November 15, 1990 in Cologne ) is a former German rower .
Marchand was third in the Junior World Championships in 2008 with the eighth . In 2009 she took eighth place at the U23 World Championships with the four-man without a helmsman . In 2011, the German four-man with Clara Karches, Lea-Kathleen Kühne, Isabella Reimund and Kathrin Marchand won the U23 World Championships in Amsterdam. In May 2012, Marchand qualified in Lucerne with the German women's eight for the Olympic Games in London , where he achieved 7th place.
In 2013 she won a silver medal at the European Championships in Seville , and in 2014 she won the bronze medal at the European Championships in Belgrade with eighth place . After finishing fourth with eighth at the 2015 European Championships , Marchand and Kerstin Hartmann won the silver medal in two without a helmsman at the 2016 European Championships behind the British Olympic and World Champions Helen Glover and Heather Stanning . Hartmann and Marchand took eighth place at the 2016 Olympic Games . After that, she ended her career.
Marchand rowed for the RTHC Bayer Leverkusen . She studied medicine at the Ruhr University in Bochum .
