Kathrin Osterode (born October 29, 1982 in Wipperfürth ) is a German actress .

Life

During her studies at the Folkwang University of the Arts in Essen, Osterode was a permanent member of the ensemble at the Berlin Gripstheater from 2003 to 2007 . There she played u. a. the girl in “ Line 1 ”, Sara in “From today your name is Sara” and Lenina in “ Brave New World ”. She also did dance training in ballet and jazz and singing training in musicals and received a diploma in 2007. In 2009 Osterode left the Gripstheater to play the leading role in the African adaptation of the musical "Line 1" in Namibia . She then worked as a freelance actress in the theater sector, including for the Gandersheim Cathedral Festival, the Görlitz Theater and at the Berlin Criminal Theater. Since 2011 Osterode has been going to film coaching at Sigrid Andersson Die Gasstelle , where Frank Betzelt coaches her. Since 2012 she has been involved in various film projects such as “Die Kaffeekantate” and in episode roles for various television formats such as “ Alles was haben ”.

In “My Bride, His Father and I” she played the role of Elsa for the first time on the comedy stage in Dresden.

In 2013 Osterode was in front of the camera for “ Unter uns ” and portrayed Melanie “Mel” Lehmann (supporting role) and also appeared in Forbidden Love .

Osterode has a sister and has lived in Berlin since 2006.
