Katie Spencer
Katie Spencer (born before 1980) is a British stage and production designer who has so far been nominated four times for an Oscar in the category Best Production Design .
life and career
In the early 1980s, Spencer attended the Drama School in London . She then worked as a set designer at the theater and moved from there to the BBC . Katie Spencer worked as a buyer for the drama drama The Gouverness, starring Minnie Driver . A year later she was responsible for the production design in Lover or Loser . Spencer received her first Academy Award nomination in 2006 for Best Design of Pride and Prejudice . Her work on the production design for atonement earned her a second Oscar nomination in 2008 and a BAFTA award in the same category. She received her third nomination at the Academy Awards with Sherlock Holmes and the Best Production Design award. Spencer also worked as a production designer for the 2011 sequel, Sherlock Holmes: Game in the Shadows . Four years after her last nomination, she was nominated for the fourth time for an Oscar for the film drama Anna Karenina . She received all nominations together with Sarah Greenwood .
