Sarah Greenwood

Sarah Greenwood is a British production designer and art director . So far, she has been nominated for an Oscar four times in the Best Production Design category.

Life

At the beginning of her career, Greenwood worked mainly for numerous television productions, including the trilogy for The Chronicles of Narnia , which was broadcast on the BBC from 1988 .

She first worked for a movie in 2005 in the drama Pride and Prejudice . For this work she was nominated for an Oscar in 2006 in the category Best Production Design .

Great honor it was for their performances in the film Atonement given from the year of 2007. In addition to another Oscar nomination, she won the BAFTA Award and, together with cinematographer Seamus McGarvey and costume designer Jacqueline Durran, the Evening Standard British Film Award for best technical performance . She also won the Hollywood Film Award for Production Designer of the Year.

Her next film Sherlock Holmes also brought her a 2010 nomination at the Oscars and the Saturn Awards , as well as winning the Art Directors Guild Award .

Sarah Greenwood is the mother of the young actor Mackintosh Muggleton (* 16th February 1994 ), the 2007 for his role as Andy Harris in the last days - horror thriller 28 Weeks Later it became known.
