Dr. Paul Slippery, a doctor in his forties, has to deal with the creeping symptoms of his midlife crisis . In the company of his family, his wife Estelle and their three sons Rory, Daniel and Edwin, Paul becomes aware of the impending decline of his youthful vitality. Paul's daily life becomes one crisis. So he reacts z. B. completely disturbed by the young companion of his "fiftysomething" friend in her thirties, is irritated by the "women's stories" and the pubescent everyday life of his offspring. His sons with their pronounced sex life and a large number of girlfriends make Paul his own misery, his unbalanced sex life clear. There is a crisis between him and his wife Estelle and he can no longer remember the last time they had sex. So it is not surprising that Paul is obsessed with the idea that his wife could cheat on him. He is strengthened in his madness when his over-excited colleague Dr. Ronnie Pilfrey doesn't shy away from making advances to Estelle in a very obvious way. When Estelle finally starts to work again, Paul tries desperately to restore order to his life.
