Joe Van Moyland

Joe Van Moyland (* 1983 in London , Great Britain as Joseph Antony Bernays Beamont ) is a British singer , drummer and actor .

Life

He gained fame through the portrayal of Thomas Tallis in the television series The Tudors - Mistress of the King (Season 1) and as Edwin Slippery in the series Dr. Slippery . Moyland was also involved in the television series Peep Show , Waking the Dead , and Simon Schama's Power of Art . Moyland worked on the films Starter for Ten , Color Me Kubrick: A True… ish Story and Brothers of the Head .

Musical career

From 2006 Van Moyland was "Joe Lean" frontman of the band Joe Lean and the Jing Jang Jong , with whom he played in 2008 at the German festivals Rock im Park and Rock am Ring . The band had a wide repertoire, with the quintet mixing 1960s surf rock with indie pop . Van Moyland previously played drums with the band The Pipettes under the pseudonyms "Robin of Loxley" or "Joe Cassette" .
