Anna Theodora Chancellor (born April 27, 1965 in Richmond , London , England ) is a British actress who is known in Germany for the films Four Weddings and a Death , What Girls Want and Pride and Prejudice , among others .

life and career

Anna Chancellor was born in 1965 in Richmond , a borough of London , to John Chancellor and Mary Joliffe. In her third year at the London Academy of Dramatic Arts and Musicals , she became pregnant and dropped out. Their daughter was born in 1988. After the marriage between her and the Scottish poet Jock Scott failed, she married Nigel Willoughby , whom she met in 1993 while filming a commercial for the Boddingtons beer brand . The marriage was divorced in 1999.

Anna Chancellor became known worldwide for her portrayal of Henrietta ("Duckface") in the film Four Weddings and a Death from 1994.
