Katja Reider
Katja Reider (* 1960 in Goslar ) is a German author for children and young people.
Life
Katja Reider was born in Goslar in 1960 . After studying German and journalism in Göttingen , she first worked in a PR agency and then as the press spokeswoman for the Jugend forscht competition . During this time, she also wrote her first children's books. The demand was enormous, so Reider gave up her work as press spokeswoman and has been working as a freelance writer ever since.
In addition to several radio plays, over 150 books have been published to date, some of which have been translated into several languages.
Her works range from picture books to titles for young people. Reider focuses on the search for happiness, tolerance and the (not) quite everyday adventures of everyday life. She also holds numerous readings in schools , libraries and bookstores .
Katja Reider lives in Hamburg with her husband and two children .
