Katrin Cruschwitz , also spelled Katrin Kruschwitz (* 1973 ) is a former German biathlete , cross-country skier and current long-distance and mountain runner .

Katrin Cruschwitz lives in Aschau , previously started for the PTSV Rosenheim for the SG Katek Grassau and as a biathlete and cross-country skier for the WSV Aschau . At the beginning of the 1990s she was part of the German national team in biathlon. In the 1990/91 season she was second in the overall standings in the European Cup behind Petra Bauer and in front of Sylvia Kaden . In 1992 she won the sprint title in Canmore at the Junior World Championships ahead of Nathalie Santer and Maria Schylander . She was also successful in cross-country skiing, for example, in 1996 she was Bavarian runner-up in cross-country skiing and champion in the women's relay. In 1999 she suffered a stroke . During rehabilitation, she benefited from her athletic achievements. She became a long-distance and mountain runner.
