The Caucasian Seidelbast ( Daphne caucasica ) is a plant type from the genus Seidelbast ( Daphne ) and belongs to the family of Thymelaeaceae . The species hybridizes with the rosemary daphne ( Daphne cneorum ).

features

The Caucasian daphne is a shrub that reaches heights of up to 200 centimeters. The flower tube is densely hairy. The ovary is mainly hairy under the scar. The fruit is red or black.

The flowering period extends from May to June.

Occurrence

The Caucasian daphne is found in mountain forests in Turkey and the Caucasus .
