history

The Kavaliershaus at Marienstraße 10 in Weißenfels was built in 1718 by Johann Christoph Schütze as a deacon house. The construction of the building was preceded by a city fire in 1715, which also destroyed the town hall and St. Marien Church as well as Marienstraße. After the reconstruction of the town hall and the church, work was also carried out on Marienstraße.
