Kavaliershaus Marienstraße 6 and 8

The Kavaliershaus are two listed buildings in the town of Weißenfels in Saxony-Anhalt . In the local register of monuments , the buildings are listed as architectural monuments under registration number 094 00635 .

history

The cavalier houses at Marienstraße 6 and 8 in Weißenfels were built in 1718 by Johann Christoph Schütze as deacons houses. The construction of the building was preceded by a city fire in 1715, which also destroyed the town hall and St. Marien Church as well as Marienstraße. After the reconstruction of the town hall and the church, work was also carried out on Marienstraße.
