Kay Ehling (* in Munich ) is a German ancient historian and numismatist .

Life

Kay Ehling, son of the geneticist Udo Ehling (1928–2010), studied history and classical archeology at the Free University of Berlin , where he obtained the degree of Magister Artium with a thesis on the history and political program of Western Roman usurpers (350–425 AD) .) acquired in 1998 with a thesis on the coinage of Mysian city Germe in the Roman empire doctorate was. On June 13, 2013 he was appointed adjunct professor at the University of Augsburg.

Since 2006 he has been editor of the yearbook for numismatics and monetary history .
