Kay Germann (born June 16, 1966 in Hamburg ) is a former German handball player and coach . The 1.92 meter tall left-hander played in the right back space .

Germann began as a teenager with handball at SC Victoria Hamburg . From 1985 he played for the regional league team TSV Ellerbek . In 1991 he moved to the handball Bundesliga at THW Kiel , with which he won the German championship in 1994 and 1995 . For THW he scored 249 goals in 126 Bundesliga games, three of which were seven meters .

In the 1995/96 season Germann played in the 2nd handball Bundesliga at VfL Fredenbeck , then he moved back to TSV Ellerbek, for which he was active for over 20 years with interruptions.

From 2002 to 2004 he worked as a trainer at TSV Ellerbek and then until 2011 at TuS Esingen.

Germann is married and has four sons.
