Kaya-Maria Kinkel (born August 22, 1987 in Viernheim ) is a German politician ( Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen ) and has been a member of the Hessian state parliament since 2017 .
Life
Kaya Kinkel finished school in Rotenburg an der Fulda with the Abitur. She first studied media economics at the Technical University of Ilmenau with a bachelor's degree and then moved to the University of Kassel , where she completed a master’s degree in “Sustainable Business” . She then worked for the Kassel municipal utility .
politics
Kinkel is a member of Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen and parliamentary group leader of her party in the district assembly of the Hersfeld-Rotenburg district . Kinkel moved into the Hessian state parliament on October 1, 2017 for the resigned MP Kai Klose . In the state elections in Hesse in 2018 , she ran in the constituency of Hersfeld and moved back into parliament via the state list of the Greens.
