Kayser is a thrash metal / groove metal band from Helsingborg , Sweden, founded in 2004 . She is currently under contract with the Scarlet Records label .

Band history

Kayser were founded in 2004 by Christian "Spice" Sjöstrand (vocals, ex- Spiritual Beggars ), Matthias Svenson (guitar, The Defaced ), Frederik Finnander (guitar) and Bob Ruben (drums, ex- The Mushroom River Band ). On January 18, 2005, they recorded their debut album Kaiserhof at Caesar Studios in Västra Karaby. It was released in June 2005.

In 2005 Frederik Finnander left and Jokke Petersen from Poseidon joined as the new guitarist. He brought his bandmate Emil "Ewil" Sandin into the group as the new bass player. After an EP in 2006, the second album Frame the World… Hang it on the Wall was released on October 16 of the same year . The group then toured with Ektomorf .

In 2008 Kayser toured Europe as the opening act for Volbeat .

After a creative break of 8 years, Kayser released Read Your Enemy again in 2014 .

Music genre

According to their own statement, Kayser play a style mix of Black Sabbath , Megadeth and Slayer . While the first Kayserhof album was still a pure Thrash Metal album, Frame the World showed ... some influences from rock that were shaped by Christian "Spice" Sjöstrand's predecessor, Spiritual Beggars.
