KazEOSat-2 , also known as Medium Resolution Earth Observation Satellite , KazMRES or DZZ-MH, is an earth observation satellite from the Kazakh company Gharysh Sapary , which carries out space projects for the Kazakh government.

It was placed in sun-synchronous orbit on June 19, 2014 at 19:11 UTC with a Dnepr launcher from the Jasny Cosmodrome (along with 36 other satellites, including Deimos-2 , Hodoyoshi-3 and 4 ) and is due to be launched in April 2014 Add KazEOSat-1 .

The three-axis stabilized satellite is equipped with a five-channel multispectral camera developed by Jena-Optronik (blue 440-510 nm, green 520-590 nm, red 630-730 nm, red 690-730 nm and infrared 760-850 nm) with a resolution of 6 , 5 m and a swath width of 77 km and is intended to be used for agricultural and resource monitoring, disaster management and land use mapping. The energy supply is provided by three solar cell surfaces installed on the outside of the satellite with a total output of 165 watts and lithium-ion batteries with a capacity of 15 Ah. The track control assume Xenon - ion engines . KazEOSat-2 was built on the basis of the SSTL-150 + satellite bus from Surrey Satellite Technology (part of the Airbus Group) and has a planned service life of three years. The contract to build the satellite was signed in October 2009.
