Kazimieras Vasiliauskas (racing driver)
Kazimieras Vasiliauskas (born August 2, 1990 in Kaišiadorys ) is a Lithuanian racing driver .
Career
Vasiliauskas began his career in karting in 1999 , which he practiced until 2007. He won a Lithuanian championship title four times in karting. In 2008 the Lithuanian switched to formula racing and took part in some races of the Italian Formula Renault , in which he finished 21st in the overall standings. He also started some races of the Formula Renault 2.0 Eurocup in which he did not score any points. In 2009 he switched to the revived Formula 2 and finished seventh overall with a win in Imola . The young driver also competed in the Formula Palmer Audi , in which he won the runner-up title behind Richard Plant with two victories . In 2010 , Vasiliauskas stayed in Formula 2 and was one of the title favorites before the season. However, he did not live up to his role as a favorite and only managed to win in the last race of the season. He finished the season in fourth place overall.
Vasiliauskas is the first Lithuanian to take part in an international formula series.
