Kazunari Koizuma ( Japanese 小泉 和 也 , Koizuma Kazunari ; born November 10, 1993 in Tomakomai , Hokkaidō ) is a Japanese ice hockey player who has been under contract with Nippon Paper Cranes from the Asia League Ice Hockey since 2016 .

Career

Kazunari Koizuma began his career as an ice hockey player during his time at Chūō University , in whose college team was active. Since 2016 he has been playing for Nippon Paper Cranes in the Asia League Ice Hockey .

International

For Japan Koizuma already took part in the IIHF Challenge Cup of Asia 2012 , in which the team behind the Russian MHL Red Stars won the silver medal. The following year he played with the Japanese juniors at the U20 World Cup in 2013 in Division II. He also represented the Land of the Rising Sun at the Winter Universiades 2013 in Trentino and 2015 in Granada.

Koizuma made his debut in the men's national team at the 2017 World Cup , where his team competed in Group B of Division I.
