Kazys Ambrozaitis

Kazys Ambrozaitis (born July 24, 1911 in Ardiškiai , Viduklė region , Raseiniai district ; † January 2, 2017 ) was a Lithuanian radiologist and professor .

Life

In 1935 he graduated with honors from the Vytauto Didžiojo universitetas in Kaunas and studied from 1937 to 1938 at the Kaunas Military School . In 1966 he received his doctorate in medicine. In 1939 he worked as a doctor in Šiluva , and from 1940 at the Kaunas University Hospital . From 1945 to 1947 he was deported to Siberia and was in the Vorkuta camp . From 1949 to 1957 he worked in the Vilnius Hospital , from 1969 to 1989 he was head of the chair at the Vilniaus universitetas .

With Mrs. Birutė Kučinskaitė he has the sons Arvydas Ambrozaitis (* 1948), infectiologist, and Ramūnas Ambrozaitis.
