The Kealey Ice Rise is a 60 km long and 25 km wide ice dome on the Zumberge coast of the west Antarctic Ellsworthland . It forms the western branch of the even larger Fowler Ice Rise and rises immediately north of the connection between Talutis Inlet and Carlson Inlet on the southwest side of the Filchner-Ronne Ice Shelf .
The United States Geological Survey mapped them based on Landsataufnahmen from the years from 1973 to 1974. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names renamed it in 2004 by Lieutenant Gerald P. Kealey of the United States Navy , physician at the Amundsen-Scott South Pole Station in 1971 .
