Kei Chinen ( Japanese 知 念 慶 , Chinen Kei ; born March 17, 1995 in Shimajiri , Okinawa Prefecture ) is a Japanese football player .

Career

Kei Chinen learned to play football on the university team at Aichi Gakuin University . He signed his first professional contract with Kawasaki Frontale in 2017 . The club from Kawasaki played in the highest Japanese league, the J1 League . In 2017 and 2018 he celebrated the Japanese football championship with Kawasaki. In 2017 and 2019 he was in the final of the J. League Cup with Frontale . In 2017 they lost the final 2-0 to Cerezo Osaka , in 2019 they won the final on penalties against Hokkaido Consadole Sapporo . In the game for the Japanese Supercup , Frontale lost 3-2 to Cerezo Osaka in 2018, and in 2019 Frontale won 2-1 against Urawa Red Diamonds . At the beginning of 2020 he was loaned to the league competitor Ōita Trinita from Ōita .
